Rajendra Chodankar is a visionary technologist, entrepreneur, and one of India's pioneers in precision engineering, electro-optics, and semiconductor technologies. With over four decades of experience, he has dedicated his career to advancing indigenous technological capabilities and strengthening India's self-reliance in strategically important sectors.
Beginning his professional journey as a Scientific Assistant at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), he went on to establish India's first Nano-Machining facility, setting new benchmarks in precision manufacturing and advanced engineering. His passion for innovation and deep understanding of critical technologies have been instrumental in building solutions that address India's evolving defence and industrial requirements.
Driven by the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Mr. Chodankar founded RRP S4E Innovation with the objective of developing world-class electro-optical and surveillance systems designed and manufactured in India. Under his leadership, the company has emerged as a trusted defence technology partner, delivering advanced thermal imaging systems, weapon sights, night vision solutions, and integrated surveillance technologies tailored to the operational needs of the Indian Armed Forces and security agencies.
His leadership extends beyond defence technologies, with a long-term vision of creating a comprehensive ecosystem for critical technologies in India—from advanced electronics and semiconductors to high-precision manufacturing and electro-optics. Through strategic collaborations, continuous innovation, and a strong focus on indigenous R&D, he continues to drive RRP S4E Innovation towards becoming a globally competitive Indian defence technology company.
